Thermomix Australia’s in-house nutritionist Bianca Mazur gives a clear, no-nonsense demonstration of the technique of choice for making Thermomix mayonnaise. The video includes three Thermomix recipe options: a yolk-only version, a full-egg version, and the option of a healthier yogurt dressing. Great practical advice for anyone who has not yet attempted to make Thermomix mayonnaise from scratch.

If you’ve made successful mayonnaise once, it’s easy to start adding flavours and seasonings to personalize it. Have you ever substituted bacon fat for part of the oil? Just sayin’  ;-)

This is your chance to inspire new Thermomix owners who may not have attempted mayonnaise yet, so let us know by comment below:  How do people at your house like it best?

I love my mayonnaise to be quite strong flavoured with mustard. It’s delicious with some parsley and one of the first recipe I made when I was a kid was egg mimosa: roughly chop the yolk of a boiled egg, mix with mayonnaise and replace in the white. Just a nice presentation for boiled eggs mayonnaise!

Thank you Helene. This is one of the best videos I have seen for making mayonnaise in the Thermomix. Bianca is a natural. Very relaxed and efficient. Definitely one for those who are skittish about emulsifying .

    I loooooove the accent!
Also, I had never thought that olive oil was an acquired taste, I think it’s the only oil I ever tasted untill I went to Ireland, age 11. I normally use half sunflower and half olive oil in my mayo.

    Very cool, thank you!
Helen or anybody, have you roasted nuts in thermomix? Im wondering if i can do that? I like to blanch and peel my almonds, but then i have a hard time roasting them in oven, because i dont want them to overcook, i do not own a dehydrator. Any suggestions?
