video: how to make fresh rice noodle (Thermomix)

Fresh rice noodles made in the Thermomix? Pinch me please! The new Thermomix recipe video by Tenina is almost too good to be true. In what we’ve come to expect from the best-selling author and recipe developer, this Rice Noodle recipe (already a hit at Tenina’s Thai cooking course in Australia) is super easy and lends itself to being further personalized in our own creative kitchens. Plus, the innovative take on a traditional technique makes full use of the Thermomix Varoma. Broaden your culinary skills with Thermomix, simply by viewing the video below.

I couldn’t be happier that Hub & Spoke Publishing (For Food’s Sake) has produced this surprising recipe video for release this week. Recently I’d spent a few too many hours lost in immersed in the tube while researching traditional techniques for making steamed noodles. (Yes, I was planning to adapt the concept for use with Thermomix, but simply couldn’t make time to try and test.) Now, thanks to Tenina’s Test Kitchen, the development work has been done and tested for us. All that’s left to do is watch and cook along. Woohoo, thank you!

I’m especially chuffed to see Tenina’s deft handling of the Super Spatula throughout this video. Not only is the popular Thermomix-friendly spatula viewed as an integral part of the recipe, but it’s clear to see the silicone all-rounder has earned a permanent place on Tenina’s kitchen bench ;-) (Note to self — send Tenina more spatulas!)
Tenina’s promise of more?
Listen closely to catch the reference to Tenina’s next book. I’ve not heard word about an expected release date yet, but one thing is for sure: based on her astounding track record since leaving the position of recipe developer at Thermomix Australia, this enterprising Thermo-mixing expert is bound to serve us yet another winner, just as soon as she comes up for air.

Well who would have thunk it? Rice noodles in the Varoma? Amazing! Thank you Tenina for doing all the hard work and thank you Helene for bringing it to our attention.

Speechless.
