free recipes from “in the mix” Thermomix cookbook
Australia’s Dani Valent is the Thermomix fan’s new best friend. She who authored in the mix is being acclaimed for injecting sex appeal into the world of Thermomix cookbooks while celebrating great recipes from bloggers, restaurateurs and master chefs alike. Valent draws from various sources (including her own family favorites) to showcase recipes that use the super kitchen machine for maximum gratification both in the kitchen and at the dining room table. A shipment of the new book is now en route to the UK, but what of the many Thermomix fans who read this blog from far-away places where Valent’s book is not readily available? Fear not dear friends — there is a way to sample “free” recipes from in the mix. . .
Try before you buy!
Because in the mix is receiving media attention from all sides, some recipes have made their way online. With Dani’s endorsement, this list of previously published recipes is an early sampling for friends to enjoy while awaiting delivery of the hard copy, or to further entice those who are reading reviews while deciding to buy the Thermomix cookbook. (Recipes originating on other blogs were of course readily available.) Here then are a few links to free recipes tasters from in the mix. (Please add to this list by comment if you spot any omissions.)

Oh Helene, you’ve done it again! A fabulous post and a great way for people all over the world to be able to share in the In The Mix love. I got my copy yesterday and am itching to make something… I just need to decide where to start :)
Hi Erica — I know the feeling! I too felt slightly paralyzed on first leafing through Dani’s book. I didn’t know what to try first, so just went for those recipes for which I had ingredients at hand :)
Thank you so much again, Helene. I’m still hopeful to get “In the Mix” from your giveaway but here I have quite a bit to start playing for a while.
O so good to see these “tasters” ~ can’t wait to get my teeth into these IN THE MIX recipes…
This is a great posting Helene, plenty of recipes to have a look at and try from In the Mix. Thanks for compiling that list for your many followers.
Thanks to you Judy, and to Jules and … Mara — for getting in the mix! All you enthusiastic Thermomix fans add a real brightness to my day. What ever will we do when this contest is over???
Wonderful teaser Helene ;-) What’s your favourite recipe so far?
I am looking forward to seeing this book.
Wow I am so glad you did all the research for this blog post. What a huge job that must have been. Thank you once again Helene for sharing.
My pleasure Gretchen, thanks to you for stopping by to comment ;-)
Once the contest to win “In the Mix” is over there will be a happy owner somewhere in the world, no doubt. As for the rest of us… well, we’ll always have your blog to come and visit and have a delightful time. I’ll keep on writing comments, that’s for sure, but I’ll keep it down a notch… until the next giveaway, that is!
Helene
As I am in London next week, do you know where I might get a copy of “In the Mix” when there? I know Theremomix has a booth at the “Food Show”, but do not know if they will have any there.
Hi Marnie,
“In The Mix” will be available in the UK from the second week of December and we’re taking pre-orders now! – feel free to give us a call on +44 (0)1344 622 344 to reserve your copy.
I’ve already been having fun cooking “In The Mix” recipes and my favourites so far are Quince Paste/Membrillo and Benoit Blin’s Chocolate Crumble with Chocolate Cream and Hazlenut Ice Cream.
Hi Marnie,
I forgot to add that we’ll look forward to seeing you at the Thermomix stand (E58) at the MasterChef Live show at London Olympia November 13th to 15th. Thermomix will probably also be used on the centre stage several times during the show because several past winners and finalists from MasterChef have fallen in love with our beautiful machine and take it everywhere they go!
Thank you Janie for this current info about “in the mix” and UKThermomix at the MasterChef Live Show Oh how I wish I could attend — the venue is stunning and it’s obviously a VERY POPULAR and FUN event. (Plus, to read the names of participating chefs, it’s obvious that our favourite kitchen machine will be in the mix.) What a party!
Such a perfect timing! My birthday is on December 17th! I’m getting it for me. Will be calling tomorrow morning for my pre-order!
Oh, I’m so happy, thank you for leaving this information here, Janie, and thank you Helene for leading me to it. So many of us would be so lost without you!
It took me as long as 20 days, but I placed my order for “In the Mix” today with ukthermomix (thanks for that number!!!).
So now that one has a “check”, I can focus on “dinner spinner”.
See you around.
Well done Mara, for treating yourself! Did you know that Dani Valent has just filmed some videos for “in the mix” recipes?! I think they will be out in a few weeks and I expect they will be expertly done, as is everything that Dani does. I will certainly be letting people know as soon as they are viewable :)
Oh, I had to treat myself to something special. It’s my 35th birthday after all. I’ve also got my mother in law to get me “A taste of Asia” for Christmas now that I’ve found out that we can purchase books from ukthermomix.com. Yay!
I’m looking forward to being able to watch those videos.
Oh Mara, you are really gonna love that Asian book. It’s quite authentic! Will you be the only person in Spain with that book maybe??
