This is great news! I am doing my research before I really take out my credit card to buy Thermomix. My research led me to your wonderful site. Good job Helene. After watching what TM can do, I am extremely impressed with the machine. And I have arranged for a demo soon. I know it is not proper to ask here. Do you guys have any complaints about TM?

Abel I have had my machine for 2½ years and love it more everyday. I have no complaints at all. It is a new way of cooking but you soon get used to it.

Abel, the only “complain” I have about my tmx is that it doesn’t do my laundry. Seriously, mine has endured already 6 years of heavy work (3 uses per day, as an average), an 8’2 earthquake, 3 intercontinental voyages and some plug-adjusting when I moved to the South hemisphere and she’s perfect, never once gave me anything but the greatest of satisfaction and the best of foods.

Hi Abel: You asked a good question and now I’m going to give you my honest answer. Because Thermomix has won me over, I have to say this is not really a ‘complaint’ but there is an aspect of the super kitchen machine that I wish could be improved. It’s the noise level. As you may or may not know, in order to perform certain functions (like grinding ice, milling hard spices, or making coconut butter for example) Thermomix must be turned up to a very high speed and it can get noisy. For people who live in a tiny apartment with a baby… this could mean they have to schedule the operating time of their machine. Those of us who already own Thermomix know that this level of loudness occurs only occasionally, and not with usual recipe use. Still, it is the only drawback I can think of, so there you have it!

Complaints? Sure, when sitting down reading a book while the Thermomix cooks my risotto, it does not pour me a glass of wine.

LOL Gretchen! Thanks to you too Cookie1 and Mara for sharing your Thermomix experiences with Abel. (There are hundreds of people who visit here each day who don’t yet own a Thermomix and I know they learn from reading your comments.) :)

Thank you all. All your comments are really confidence booster! I have never seen such a product that is near perfection (except the price, noise level, and some say the bowl is too small) and raved by so many people. Mara, your comment reflects the machine is really of high quality.

Thanks for your honest feedback. Helene, that’s what I love about you. You are impartial and unbiased about Thermomix. What’s more you have no vested interest in it. That really sets you and your blog apart from the rest.

Thanks Abel, for all your thoughtful and kind words. In fairness to everyone who blogs about Thermomix and/or leaves comments here I want to point out that there are others who (like me) have no vested interest in the machine. Many Thermomix enthusiasts are not selling the product. It says a lot about the machine, that so many people are unable to refrain from being passionate about it. In fact I did originally began the blog (in 2009) as a way to help a friend who was preparing to become a demonstrator, but the local distributor did not agree. I’m so glad you find this site useful and hope you’ll return even after you have your machine ;-)
