At the edge of the world, what do they think of Thermomix?

New Zealand is known for its geographic isolation and the fun-loving adventurous nature of its people. Yes, a rich tapestry of natural beauties and mixed cultures certainly put these islands on the map, but let’s not forget: New Zealanders truly are at the edge of the world watching the rest of us from a unique perspective.
And as each new day dawns and the clock on the international dateline starts ticking, it’s the growing number of early-rising culinary adventure hounds curious about Thermomix in New Zealand who first start clicking onto this blog.
Yes, New Zealand is waking up to Thermomix! The super kitchen machine has recently become available there, and Kiwi food writers are sharpening their pencils. Here’s what one reviewer at the edge of the world thinks of Thermomix:

Charmian Smith tells of her experience at a Thermomix demonstration led by Queenstown consultant Melissa Davidson. At first the journalist is skeptical, but soon warms up to the super kitchen machine.
“A machine that does everything – chopping, mixing, mincing, grinding, kneading, whipping and juicing, as well as cooking, stirring and weighing ingredients – seemed too good to be true.”
But by the end of the demonstration… Smith is wishing she could take one home. What else does this New Zealand food writer have to say about Thermomix?

The Kiwis will love the Thermomix. It always takes them a bit of time to catch up to us Aussies. LOL!
I love these posts. Oh, yes: Thermomix!!!
By they way Helene, Kiwis think they are in the middle of the world not the edge. They think the sun starts and finishes there and I guess it does. I hope the Thermomix really takes off there. Bless ‘em.
Oops! Sorry dearies, I stand corrected… my perspective of the Kiwi perspective was skewed. I’m just happy for all the the foodies in Dunedin, they are about to have some fun in the kitchen!
