Thanks a lot, Dienie. One of the spanish books has a recipe for “roast beef” in the Varoma and it uses a roasting bag, so that’s why I was wondering. I might try the chicken, thanks a lot!

Still haven’t tried the chicken, we’re in more of a baking mood these days at home with it being so cold and all. But I will get around to it soon enough and tell you how it went.

My thermomix has helped me enormously to stick to a more alkaline diet which has had the most wonderful impact on my osteoarthritis, even after only 10 months! 2 Paracetamol morning and night are a thing of the past by and walking is far less painful. This way of eating requires a lot of raw food and the Thermomix has made this so much easier and less time consuming. Entertaining doesn’t mean standing for hours and pain for more hours after that! The spiral slicer would be such an excellent complement to an alkaline diet.

Great to hear from you Jennifer! Thanks for telling us how Thermomix has helped you stick to the alkaline diet. I agree, Thermomix makes it easier and (especially) more fun to adhere to specialized food regimens. I’ve used it to prepare more raw food meals, and for trying wheat-free recipes. Both of these would have been daunting without Thermomix. Who knew special diets could be so much fun?!

My THERMOMIX is used everyday! I show all my friends just easy it is to whip up soup, a pizza and a gourmet sweet in under an hour. Two of my three children own a THERMOMIX too. We share our creations!
