Thanks for this list Helene. I have visited a few of them but now have a list that will keep me busy when I have some spare time. Would have been handy to have had earlier today because our forum was down and I get withdrawal symptoms if I can’t read about the thermomix! Your blog has developed into a wonderful resource to compliment this wonderful machine and it is something you can be very proud of it. Go to the top of the blog lists Helene. xx

Awww thanks for your lovely note Judy! (I had no idea the forum was down, as I’ve been too busy lately to visit myself.) I too am happy this site is developing in such a healthy way. It’s such a pleasure to be blogging about Thermomix as its popularity grows in different directions. Thanks to YOU for your input — the comments are the spice (yes, really) that make this blog ‘tasty’ for other readers. ;-)

Hi there Cooking Monster — Yes definately! Tenina is already on the list above, but I have yet to do a ‘review’ about her expert blog. I’ve made a note to reviews hers next, as she is MOST deserving. Problem is, she has SO MANY great recipes on there, it will be hard to decide which ones to feature ;-)

I love my Thermomix, but the heating function stopped working. Since I use the Thermomix in the US, Thermomix offers no repair service. Can someone guide me through the repair process?

Hi Warren — Poor you! I really feel your pain. A Thermomix without heat would simply be a mixer :( I can’t imagine such a breakdown, as it has never happened to anyone I know. Surely the distributor you bought from should be able to help in some way? Even if you didn’t buy in the US, surely your supplier would want to help… (?) Of course, if you bought from within the US, where Thermomix is not sold, you might be out of luck. I believe (don’t know for sure) that Vorwerk is pretty unsupportive of anyone supplying Thermomix machines to a region where distributorship is not permitted. You may indeed be stuck, but I’m going to trust that a distributor may read this and offer help. (Fingers crossed!)
    – H.

Okay Warren, that said… I have to ask for a bit more info, in case someone reading this might know something we don’t. I am wondering how long this problem has been going on for, and did something specific happen to initiate the problem? Reason I ask is because if say, you somehow managed to spill liquid all over and a bit went into the guts of the TMX, then you can “dry it out” by turning upside down for an hour or a day. And/or use a hair dryer directed into the vents on the bottom when upside down. (Maybe into those side vents too.) Are you getting an error code? If so, the manual can help sort those out. I am assuming that none of these apply, but just thought I’d better ask. Most problems I’ve heard of can be corrected by the machine itself.

Also, I’d like to point out that there is much support available from experts users on the forum. You may have to do a bit of digging, but I guarantee you’ll learn a lot as you do. In case liquid is your problem (or part of the problem) Here is a link to fix a “drowning Thermie” Best of luck…
