A Bimby Kitchen Diary (October 2009)

A month-by-month record of how we use Thermomix. When Bimby first arrived, I expected to use it about once a day. But like most Thermomix owners, I was surprised to realize that I use it more frequently than expected.
October 31, 2009 – Saturday - 4 uses
afternoon: Ali Baba Salad
evening: peeled garlic, pizza sauce, pizza dough

morning: Seedy Rustic Bread (so good it lasted less than an hour – recipe and photos coming soon)
evening: Warm Cabbage-Ham-Apple Slaw (addition of one organic farm apple made all the difference in the world!)

evening: Brava Barssica Stir Fry (improvised with vegetables on hand, wonderful results!)

afternoon: Basic Bimby Bread
evening: creamed chicken soup from leftover stock, leftover, chicken, leftover rice, veggies, and a drop of cream!
October 12, 2009 – Monday - 2 uses
afternoon: Bacon Popcorn, La Mayonnaise
evening: cooked brown rice, Varoma steamed and bundled Sockeye Salmon Steaks, Varoma steamed veggies (a good example of three-in-one efficient energy use)
October 11, 2009 – Sunday – 3 uses
evening: excellent Stir Fry with garlic, onion, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, zuchinni, ham, and a drop of chicken stock -accompanied by a Cauliflower Cheese Sauce made with “hidden” cauliflower, then took leftover stir-fry and leftover sauce, added some chicken stock and created Stir-Fry Soup! (photo coming soon)
October 10, 2009 – Saturday - 1 use
evening: Stir Fry with garlic, onion, broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Zuchinni, ham, and a bit of Parmesan — very crunchy and very yummy!
October 9, 2009 – Friday – 1 use
evening: made another (!) plaited Buttermilk Bread variation from EDC using buttermilk from butter made a few days ago
October 8, 2009 – Thursday - 2 uses
morning: made plaited Buttermilk Bread variation from EDC using buttermilk from butter made a few days ago
evening: La Mayonnaise

afternoon:baked a variation of Basic Bimby Bread to bring to a party later
evening: improv Stir Fry with Califlower, Broccoli & ham, made butter from cream, then made Herbed Garlic Butter from butter (to accompany bread at the party)

(too many leftovers needed to be eaten, so nothing new was prepared…)
